Kai: These two pigeons were raised from egg in our coop. Their Mother is a pied, blue bar Belgian racer, and their Father is a white roller.
This is why the almost solid black baby came as a surprise! The genetic probably came from the roller’s grand parents.

Kai: Earlier January I was blessed yet again, by the man who provided me with my lady pigeons. This time I was gifted 2 breeder pairs. They are blue bar racers and they are absolutely beautiful.

Kai: So this is the baby pigeon we posted a few weeks ago! She (Or he), is a little over 30 days old now, and is completely weaned. She’d be a roller/racer cross, Dad being the roller pigeon, and the Mom being a racer.

Kai: Almost a year ago I acquired 4 homing pigeons from a man at the keepers of the old ways expo in Blountstown Florida. When we got them home, I found that it had been a stressful move for the younger bird, and I had to nurse him back to health because he’d lost a lot of weight. The 4 birds had to gain back their muscles after being in quarantine, and once they were finally released into the coop, I found their behavior hard to follow…for months and months, all they did was fight and claim perches.
