About Cuban Oregano
Cuban oregano also known as Indian borage is a perennial succulent. It being perennial, is somewhat tender to the frost and will need protection during the winter. You will want to either bring it inside (like into a greenhouse) or keep it warm during the winter. But so long as you do that, it is perennial and will continue to grow throughout the year and thrive during the warm weather.
With it being a succulent, it is also a very popular house plant that a lot of people like these days.
The flowers can be white, pink or lavender colored. The plants at their full height get about 12 to 18 inches tall.
It is a part of the mint and dead nettle family. In culinary use, it is stronger tasting than Greek or Italian oregano that you’d typically use. It is used in a lot more Caribbean and Indian cooking, and is easy to propagate cutting from as well.
