A Food Forest Garden Paradise of 30 Years!

Hello everyone! We’re back! Today, we’re touring the property of Local legend Joe Taverniti, a dedicated gardener in the Escambia County area of North West Florida. Joe has poured over 30 years of hard work and dedication into transforming his land into a vibrant garden paradise.

It was a real treat getting to tour his property, and we hope you are inspired to see the vast work he and his wife have put into it. This land isn’t just for survival, it is designed for beauty, peace and to be a sanctuary for the soul.

We first learned of Joe from Pete Kanaris on his GreenDreams YouTube channel! Check out his tour with Joe back in 2017!

This popular edible italian gourd, sometimes known as “Snake Gourd” or “serpent of Sicily” but most commonly known under the names “Cucuzza” or “Cucuzzi,” is a gourd that grows like crazy for us here in North Florida! It is prolific, and, if you know how to turn it into a dish, delicious!
