The Art of Bird Watching – Ebook

Kai: I just finished my very first non-fiction book! The Art of Florida Birdwatching.

Being a bird watcher all my life, I knew I wanted to create a work of non-fiction themed around my knowledge and experience.
In addition to the information, I was still able to utilize my more aesthetic side, using art and photography as the pictures.

This book features over 30 species of birds that can be found right here in Florida, and includes an artistic depiction, fun facts about the bird, and stories about my personal encounters. Many were photographed at Grand Lagoon State Park, Myakka River State Park and Wakulla Springs State Park.

I really hope you enjoy this book, as it is one I am quite proud of. These are the wild birds I know best, many of which are quite dear to me. If you are interested in birds, or are just getting to know them, I hope you’ll take a look at this book and be inspired to continue your birding journey!

Earth Day – Pensacola Florida

Pensacola celebrated its 32nd annual Earth day festival on April 23rd at Bayview park. We had a great time at the @earthdaypensacola festival and were marveled and inspired to see all of the community come together in reverence for this one and only beautiful planet of ours that we call Earth.

This video is a celebration of this community’s love and reverence for the Earth and all of its natural wonder. Whether through art, music, gardening, activism or just by being resonant with nature, we can all care for and celebrate this world in our own unique way.

Keepers of the Old Ways – Survival & Homestead Expo

On January 28-29th at the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement in Blountstown FL, we had the great fun of going to the Keepers of the Old Ways Expo, there we got to learn about the old ways of life, how people cooked, hunted, foraged, clothed, built and so much more.

In the process we got to interview Willard Smith, founder of the Pioneer Settlement. Willard spoke to us about the importance of the old ways of life, and why we must cherish the things that got us to where we are today.
